10 Oct Mega Camp :: Keller Williams Realty
Once a year, thousands of Keller Williams agents and guests descend upon the Austin Convention Center for Mega Camp. From it’s humble beginnings, Keller Williams Mega Camp has turned into one of the largest real estate education events in the United States.
The entire week at Mega Camp is broken into three parts: Mega Agent Camp, Mega Leadership Camp and Mega Technology Camp. The schedule is usually Mega Leadership on Monday and Tuesday (designed primarily for Keller Williams managers, owners and owners of Mega Agent teams), Mega Technology on Wednesday (designed for owners, managers and agents) and Mega Agent Camp on Thursday and Friday (designed primarily for agents).
Attending Mega Camp is an experience by itself. With so many real estate agents in downtown Austin, the networking opportunities can be a bit overwhelming. Everyone is there to learn what they can from the best in the business while having a little fun. (Austin is the live music capital of the world and the home to the University of Texas, so there are plenty of options for entertainment)
The sessions cover a variety of timely topics in the business. The best part is the sessions are led by Gary Keller, Jay Papasan and Tony DiCello, who are some of the smartest and most accomplished people in the real estate business. There are panel discussions with the best agents in the business (many of them work with Keller Williams, and some do not). It’s an environment for learning and sharing ideas, which is wonderful to experience in a live setting.
The educational part of the event is always great, although I have always learned the most by scheduling dinners and drinks with other top agents from around the country. If you are new to the business and still trying to figure out who’s who and what’s what, just show up and see where people go for happy hour after the sessions. There is plenty of networking to be done at the hotel bars and the establishments along 6th Street in downtown Austin (a few blocks from the convention center).
If you’d like to schedule a time to meet with my while you’re there, send me a note when it gets close to the event (try me in late July). The contact tab at the top of this page is the best way to reach me.
