A real estate license is required for most real estate jobs. Indiana has educational requirements you must fulfill before they will let you get a real estate license, which are completed with the following:
You can apply to take the Indiana real estate exam after you have completed the licensing education requirements.

You have one year to pass the state exam after completing the pre-licensing courses. That one-year timeline was extended by six months in 2020 due to COVID, so check with the state if you think your pre-licensing course credentials may have expired. They may be lenient if you are cutting it close.
The application will ask you some basic questions about you and your background, including any other real estate licenses you have held or currently hold. The Indiana license application fee is $60.
