A real estate license is required for most real estate jobs. Florida has educational requirements you must fulfill before they will let you get a real estate license, which are completed with a 63 hour pre-licensing course.
You can apply to take the Florida real estate salesperson’s exam after you have completed the licensing education requirements. Pearson VUE is the exam vendor for the State of Florida and they now offer proctored state exams from the comfort of your home!
Florida runs background checks on all real estate license applicants. You must submit your fingerprints through a LiveScan service provider. The fingerprinting fee is $53.50.
The application will ask you some basic questions about you and your background, including any other real estate licenses you have held or currently hold. The application fee is $89.
There are Florida licensing fee waivers available for military veterans, members of the national guard, active military personnel, military spouses and those who meet low income standards.
